Tea has a lot of virtues! It contains substances burn-fat: catechins. Is tea diet effective? Which are the most active varieties against the pounds?

Catechins to burn fat

To group 1 we gave a placebo, to the 3 others we did introduce a different amount of catechins:
Group 2: 440 Mg of catechins once per day
Group 3: 230 Mg of catechins twice a day (either 468 mg/day)
Group 4: 440 Mg of catechins twice a day (either 886 mg/day)
Result: in the last group, the study observed a significant reduction of the weight, waist measurement, body fatty mass and his abdominal localization.
Catechins against the metabolic syndrome
In addition to their benefit on the weight, the catechins would play a crucial part for health, in particular in the prevention of the metabolic syndrome. This disorder is characterized by a glycemia (rate of “sugar” in blood) and the raised cholesterol levels, an arterial hypertension, and a waist measurement exceeding 40 inch for the men and 34 inch for the women. We observe, in these subjects often in overweight, also a resistance to insulin, an inflammatory reaction, and a stress oxidizing, related to the fall of sensitivity to insulin.

To choose the good tea
There exist great differences in concentration in catechins, in particular between black tea and green tea. Certain brands offer even green teas richer in catechins (Lipton with Linéa in particular).

Lastly, it should be recalled that tea only is not enough to lose weight! An adapted diet and a little physical exercise are recommanded.
